AA offers lifetime gold status when you reach 1 million miles in your account from any source (flying, flight bonuses, promotions, credit card miles, booking bonus), and 2MM will give you lifetime Platinum. UA has a similar program at 1MM, but only counts actual flight miles on UA metal.
