Service without class references is very vague, so I thought I'd compilea list of the top three of which I've had the pleasure of flying in the past year.

SERVICE : Economy
1. Cathay Pacific
2. Singapore Airlines
3. Swissair

SERVICE : Business
1. Ansett Australia International
(No one can beat AN for their food - not even first class below)
2. Cathay Pacific
3. Singapore Airlines

SERVICE : First
1. Cathay Pacific
2. Singapore Airlines
3. British Airways

SEATS : Economy
1. Ansett International (35" pitch all seats)
2. Swissair (34" all seats)
3. Thai (34" all seats)

SEATS : Business
1. Air Canada 57"
2. Ansett International 55"
3. Cathay Pacific 50"
(But CX reserves bulkhead seats for their Marco Polo members. 1st row upper bulkhead - you can stick you feel on the side lockers and you get a full bed (your feet may slide off though!) )

SEATS : FIRST
1. British Airways
2. Singapore Airlines (new ones)
3. Lufthansa (old ones)
3a Swissair (the old old ones - way back in 1986. They used to tilt all the way back. Miss 'em!)

Of course we can all go on and on...maybe we can continue somewhere else on flight experiences....?
