You may find that this is precisely the reason why one of your cards has been declined, I recently purchased a ticket on American Arlines, then 5 minutes later went to buy a ticket on Qantas. The Qantas ticket was declined. If they are advanced enough, they may then keep the fact that one card has been declined connected to your session and decline subsequent transactions on the basis that it
may be fraudulent.
Try closing your browser and starting another session.
On the other hand, the Emirates site can be very buggy and sometimes the simplest things do not work, so you may just be out of luck today. Try phoning a service centre in another country!
