I think that is a pretty long walk. The part of Gtown that is closest to Glover Park is the hospital and medical school. There is really not much to see up in that area. The historic areas are down the hill toward M street from there. It is walkable, but will probably take 20+mins.
I'd end up taking a cab, but in the words of Krusty the Clown, "I'm a lazy lazy man." There is also frequent bus service for $1.35 up Wisconsin Ave. Since there is no Metro in that area, the buses over there aren't the freak show they are in most of the rest of DC.
