Got what they deserved? I think not. What they got was abuse by an out of control wacko AA FA (like that isn't hard to find) and some overzealous airport cops.
The cops should have told the FA to shut it and not waste their time and AA management should suspend the FA until she develops a thicker skin.
The foul language, while inappropriate, was not directed at anyone, and the resulting fiasco was way over the top. The OP already apologized to AA for their use of language, and AA should apologize to (and compensate) the customer for the bad judgment and behavior of their lunatic FA.
