Iberia codeshare with Clickair from T2 LHR
Hi all
Sorry this is my first post so forgive me if this is not done 100% right.
I flew LHR-VLC-LHR on flight I purchased on Iberia.com for an codeshare flight op by clickair but with an IB flight number.
As BAEC gold I thought I could check in at business check in desk with IB, but when I tried the check-in assistant refused and told me I had to check in at Clickair!? I am slightly confused as I had an iberia.com itinerary with IB flight numbers and an IB ticket number (nowhere did it say Clickair on my printout). But I was forced to check in at Clickair where I was issued with a BP with a Claickair flight number although it did have my BAEC number and IB flight number printed on this too. I was a bit annoyed about this but then went through security and to the IB lounge... only to be told that I was not allowed access as it was a Clickair flight! (If you are top tier IB FFP then you can have IB lounge access when flying Clickair)
I asked to speak to someone but the IB lounge staff refused and said they would call security if I did not leave!
I did not try to check in with IB on my return leg or gain lounge access at the IB lounge in VLC. I couldn't deal with the stress.
Can anyone let me know if this is right for Oneworld alliance partners to do this? Surely it goes against the principles of the alliance and reciprocal arrangements for learning miles and lounge access with member airlines?
Has anyone else has similar issues?
