based on past and from what I have heard, SQ has refused flight to people who hold below-the-actual-value tickets and even tickets that were issued before there was a fare increase (these were coach tickets), and were asking passengers to pay the difference there and then or else they can always just "get a refund from where they bought their tickets from "!
i fully agree. the question in relation to the subject as set out by kiwiflyer is why is everyone still showing SQ support by being enthusiastic about the A380. It only justifies SQ in treating the A380 as concorde-like product. The irony is that this enthusiasm is what is behind the high charges and less than favourable conditions of PPS, the lounges and the award redemption difficulties and cost cutting because customers still pay for it.
