As it turns out I did have a F.S. on my return (UA 896 HKG-ORD) {but didn't have it on the outbound}. (On the non-FS 744's AVOID seats 4 A/B as the crew jumpseat is right behind these and the pounding/jarring is relentless.) There was one empty seat; three UA employees/retirees and it looked like most people upgraded; but 4 or so didn't. I was in 4J and was very, very impressed with the set-up. I am 6' 5" and was able to sleep very comfortably (the drop-down arm-rest on the aisle-side is very nice as it makes it easy to get in/out of "bed". Even though it was 31 Aug we had all of the new (for Sep) movies and tapes. Lap-top power was functional also. One FA mentioned that this was the third time this month that she had seen the F.S. on this run. This was my first FS experience and I am now spoiled. Like my flights on SQ (in business albeit) this was one of those flights that could have gone on for another 14 1/2 hours and I wouldn't have minded a bit. (btw, after all the bonuses; 1K/Olympic/TrueFlier/C this trip will have netted me 73,559 miles)
