It seems to contradict everything I have read about OW lounge access (QF/CX/OW websites) for lowly SL flyers like me!
About to head PER-HKG-JFK and back via YVR on CX, so it would be a pleasant surprise, indeed.
OW rules governs what benefits an OW airlines should provide a passenger who has status on another airline. However, each airline can have their own rules for their own frequent flyers.
CX provides a few additional lounge access benefits for MPC members:
* CX SL - one person only.
* CX GO - when transiting from a CX long haul arriving in HKG to a flight to Mainland China. I do not find where I saw this - not in MPC web page.
* CX DM/DM+/IN - (i) 2 guests; (ii) access to business lounge when traveling on any non-CX/KA/OW airline.
