Well I think its pretty harsh to blame QF free-loading passengers for the overcrowding at that time of the evening. QF only has two evening departures, being QF128 at 9:10pm for Sydney, and either QF98 to BNE at 11:15pm or QF68 to PER at 11:35pm (operating on different days).

So the only QF flight around 11pm is a 2-class 767, hardly likely to have enough Qantas platinum "free-loaders" to cause lounge over-crowding, and will have no affect on The Pier since QF uses gates closer to The Wing.

I have never seen more than 2 other people dining in The Haven at either The Wing or The Pier at the same time as myself. I have never had to wait for a shower or cabana. I have never had to share a cluster of seats with another passenger at either The Wing or The Pier. But most of my HKG CX liunge visits are in the mornings.

Which lounges to CX F, J and MPO passengers use at Australian airports?
