Craz, I think JFK and EWR are the same market - and I certainly think LY treats it that way. I for one switch between the two all the time and I see many of the same "regulars" at both places. I think sending the new 772's there probably has more to do with LY's need to have them pronto on both NYC and LHR routings and the EWR option serves them best; 027-028 is the quickest turnaround they have in the USA market in general during most of the year. Granted that in JUL-AUG they turn around in JFK in less than 3 hrs, but usually the 001 AC lands at 6 AM and doesn't turn around till 8:00 pm or midnight (tremendous waste). Thus, sending 028 gets back to Israel early enough (8 AM) that the same AC goes to LHR and back (10 AM-ish), and then setting out for another cycle to EWR. If they dedicate both 772's like this, then 027-028 and 315-316 are both consistent products. Only drawback is that they are using the lie-flats on the daytrip to LHR and not where its really needed, on the redeye.
