Thumbs down STRANDED by USAIRWAYS

USAIRWAYS STRANDED my 11 year old daughter in Jamaica during hurricane Dean's Category 4 (135 mph sustained winds). The hurricane hit Sunday (8-18-07) and little Air Jamaica had manged to deploy and extra aircraft. Cayman Air added another 15 flights to evacuate people. USAirways waited until Saturday afternoon to cancel three flights leaving over 700 customers to fend for themselves and added no extra aircraft.

Does anyone know what it feels like to be over 1000 miles from your little girl when she is going through a life altering experince? USAIRWAYS should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Maybe they should speak to my 11 year old and walk a mile in her shoes and see how she is doing. She may get over it however her parents will not ever forget it. I am also sure the suits at USAIRWAYS who STRANDED my 11 year old daughter slept comfortably knowing they left 700 people to manage a category 4 hurricane. Maybe the suits at USAIRWAYS who abandoned my 11 should read what customer service is all about in todays Wall Street Journal (8-28-07) front page.

Airlines need to learn and should not be rewarded for HORRIBLE customer service.
