I'll add to this thread since it's recent and sort of relevant. I'm checking in for an international flight and see that they want my passport number and expiration date, which I don't have at work so I'll complete it at home. They also ask if the name on my passport matches the name they show, where they have my first name and middle initial together as one word. Is this the standard way they do things, so I can just say yes? Or should I say no, and does this risk opening up a can of worms? This is for the purposes of checking in; it's an award ticket from a partner airline, so I won't get miles.
