Why wouldn't they do this with 001 and 002 or 008 to/from JFK? TO EWR I understand - its as useful as the 001. But FROM EWR, the 028 is at an oddball time where people don't get as much "use" out of the lie-flat's.

I think we have been discussing this for a long while that LY 028 EWR will be the destination LY will use the two new 772 on,
The reason is because they still need LY001 to have 744 capacity.
The only big change el al has made is that they will be using the 772 on CDG more than on LHR - again i think because LY315/316 needs 744 capacity.

These 744 will not get the new interior til next year!!!!
