That only make sense if you feel the need to declare your liquids to the screener. Even now you can carry on larger amounts of liquids if you declare them to be medical necessities. .
Under new TSA rules these larger amounts of liquids will now be tested, e.g., breast milk, contact/eye solution, medicines, et al.
