Iced coffee is double brewed (as a base in large quantities at the start of the day I believe) for strength and so it doesn't taste watered down with the ice. Often times when they run out of the double brew base in later afternoon/evenings, they substitute it with an iced Americano with the equivalent amount of shots.

I always give a phony name too (Tim), mainly because I don't like having to stand there and spell my somewhat foreign name.
