I believe TC lowers productivity, and that there is a lot of watching of Jerry Springer while these TC'ers are supposedly working.
I personally do not like Telecommuting, but I disagree with your comments.
Telecommuting gives more flexibility to the employees and increases
productivity. When I have a hectic day ahead, I stay home and start early.
I can save the commuting time and put that to use.
And countless studies report that telecommuting increases productivity,
increases job satisfaction and morale. You are more likely to attract better
job candidates if you offer such flexibility. You'll have happy and loyal
employees.
for OP:
I'd pick Idaho/Wyoming/Montana or Parts of Canada for the summer months and
central America for the winter. Based on your requirement.
If I had my own pick, I'd pick Australia or New Zealand year round

but that would be too
far for you.
I'd say pick a place where you can rent a small apartment with broadband internet access for a
reasonable price. It does not have to be in US, You can VIOP your phone(s) and work from anywhere.
