UA-Press Info CHICAGO, Dec. 14, 1998 - United Airlines announced today it will strengthen its trans-Atlantic service, adding a third daily nonstop flight between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and London's Heathrow Airport effective Jan. 2, 1999 and a second daily nonstop flight between Chicago and Paris in early May.
"We are delighted to announce expanded service in two of Europe's most important markets," said Stuart I. Oran, senior vice president - international. "We already have a major presence at both London Heathrow and Paris CDG, so these new flights will enhance our service to both business and leisure travelers."
United will operate the new London flights eastbound initially in Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 206 seats and westbound in the larger Boeing 777 with 292 seats. As of Feb. 11, 1999 all three United round-trip flights between O'Hare and London will be flown in
