Of course a big part of Zimbra's appeal is the AJAX-based web client, so a lot of the groundwork is already in place, but they hacked out an iPhone-specific version in 2 weeks! Since it's through the Safari web interface on the phone, everything you create would go right onto the server anyway, so there is really no sync at all, it's just access, just the way you would reach it from any other browser. But instead of a lot of scrolling and such it's tailored for the iPhone screen.
