I wasn't really counting UA as a major NYC player. They have decent amount of flights in and out of the NYC area but nothing that would make any there stations here a hub or focus city.
If you look at the airlines who have major operations in NYC, B6 and US don't have that direct service. Here's the current scheduled service:
CO: EWR-DFW 6X daily
NW: LGA-DFW 3X daily starting in september
DL: JFK-DFW 3X daily
AA: LGA-DFW 10X daily
EWR-DFW 7X daily
JFK-DFW 2X daily
My whole point of my question is that NW found in their market research that there is enough demand to add in another 3 flights between the New York area and the DFW metroplex to an already seemingly saturated route(s). If NW saw this, why didn't JetBlue?
