If I'm out eating tapas, or mezza, or family-style Chinese/Italian/your-fave-here etc., that's fine. It's supposed to be communal, therefore sharing in those contexts isn't an interesting discussion.
What I thought we were talking about was situations where ordering individual entrees is the norm, and whether sharing is acceptable. No?
