Guaranted seats for EuroBonus EBG on SAS:


You are guaranteed a seat on SAS flights (but not guaranteed class) if you book a full-fare Business Class ticket at least 48 hours before departure. On flights between Stockholm and Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö, and within Norway, you are guaranteed a seat if you book at least 24 hours before departure.

I've used it a few times and it DOES work. Even with direct internet booking. An EBG status is recognised and allows you to book on over-booked flights.

My EuroBonus year end in 4 days. Currently my status is:

SAS Qualifying Flights: 13

I've one or two flights to go before June 30 and I'm at Dusseldof Radisson SAS now. I think I'll end up with around 212,000 basic points. Probably not enough for EBP especially as a lot of my basic points were earned flying other *A airlines.
