One question to ask here (maybe for the Lurker) - are all Golds equal?
i.e. Do I score very nicely on upgrades because the Starwood Gods smile upon me, or is it because I'm a relatively decent revenue customer with a pretty reasonable average spend per night?
Maybe it is just the clover, rabbits feet and horseshoes that I bring with me to the check-in that help...
