No, there are no cheaper trains -- you can take the (marginally) slower KLIA Transit instead, but it costs you exactly the same, RM 35.

Again, I prefer the comfort and predictability of the trains over the lumpy KLIA limos and random KL traffic jams. But obviously some disagree, so it's your call in the end...
