As per my 2000/2001 handbook, Economy to Business upgrade between Southeast Asia and Europe is 30 K miles, on Qualiflyer airlines and Cathay.

But the website calculator now prices 35 K miles for HKG / LHR upgrade on CX. Is this right? If so, any ideas for getting the extra 5 K miles without flight activity?
