No problem. So, you are going to want to do ICS with the 3G connection, and SELECT the ETHERNET port on the laptop. Then, just connect the slingbox to the Ethernet port, and the slingbox will get the DHCP from the laptop. Then, you would need to configure the ICS firewall, to setup the port and port forwarding for the slingbox. The slingbox MIGHT be able to do this, but I doubt it.

The only downside of the ICS, is that once you “bind” a connection type, wifi or Ethernet to the 3g connection, you have to UNBIND it again, in order to use it regularly like in the office or something.

So, I am hoping someone can help out with the port forwarding! I connect Sling to my laptop via the ethernet port and enable my GSM connection to "share" the connection via the ethernet port.

The ethernet icon shows connected on the laptop and the light on front of sling shows I have made a successful connection and an IP address is assigned (of course I can't find the IP address - anyone know how to do this?) ...

This works fine with I connect another computer and I can access the internet connection with no problems - but for what ever reason I cannot access the Sling ...

Not much info over at Sling forums ...
