I think "tech support" is a huge misnomer. As most of us have long realized, a phone call to web support prompts a standard set of questions from a script and rarely leads to any true intervention as regards the operation of the website. This is most likely because the support people have nothing to do with the web development people. The best one can hope for is a transfer back to the res line with a waiver of the fee.
