Then, when I got my e-mailed bill, they had recharged my credit card for the full amount. After 2 days of disputes, it's finally corrected now. 1st time for me that the hotel "adjusted" the bill after I checked out, without telling me.
I had precisely the same experience at the Durham Marriott Civic Center two weekends ago. Well, mine was slightly different. I got the corrected bill when I left the hotel, and the corrected bill via email. The hotel just charged the corrected amount to my credit card twice. I think we've got it worked out now.
