rogodwin, you will please to know that AA actually treat QF Platinum members worse. I think this sums up every experience I have had on AA metal where I havent been on a QF flight number:

On a side note, I wish Qantas stopped pre-assigning seats on international flights. I can never get anything further forward than row 54 on a flight to LAX and usually end up in the high teens on SYD to WLG.
