And I believe that the bassinet attachment points are basically just small holes with a fitting in the bulkheak. They take a pair of rods extending from the bassinet which are kept in storage somewhere on the plane.
Thanks, yes, we paid 10% for her. We have 2 'receipts' one for my husband, one for me, my name is listed at "last name/First name plusinf"

We can start our online check in tomorrow(WED) at 2.30pm-ish, so not that far away. As of now, 31A is still open. We're hoping to have a slight advantage of online check in because we'l be able to select seats for the IAH-AMS flight earlier than those taking a direct flight to AMS because the flight from our hometown to IAH leaves almost 5 hours before IAH-AMS does.

Just in case there is no bassinette position we're keeping the seats we have now, and will see what happens tomorrow. If either E or F is open, we'll move my husband to that seat.

Thanks for all your input and will let you know what we'll do.

As far as seatguru being wrong, I am sure they are sometimes, but the aircraft info on the CO website also mentions that 31AB and KL are bass. positions. Could the CO site be wrong on that also?
