I got an exit row which I was very pleased about. However, after the meal service (about 90 minutes into the flight), I wanted to get some sleep, so I reclined my seat.

The woman behind me went ballistic, shouting and pushing on my seat. I ignored her for a while, so she then started tapping the back of my head and pushing my head forward. I turned round and told her to stop, at which point she called one of the FA's.

The FA then asked me to move my seat forward, as the woman behind didn't like it! I refused, at which point the FA reached down and pressed the button and moved the seat forward anyway. However, she only moved it a couple on inches, and then walked off. I moved it back as soon as she'd gone

I then had to put up with the woman pushing my seat every now and again through the night. Fortunately, I managed to get around 6 hours of sleep.

I won't be doing the JFK to DXB run again in Y (although I've got the return tomorrow). It's far too crowded.

Cheers,
Rick
You should have eaten some peas and made sure you 'released' Would sure have taught her a lesson!
I would have surely talked to the bursar when the FA put my seat upright (unless they were serving food), if the old hag (who i presume was one) had a problem with you reclining your seat, she should have bought a J or F ticket. Y is cheap, but it has its cons, and she should have been aware of that. Something similar happened to me a while ago, and I had asked the lady that if she wanted space, to buy a J ticket next time. All of us have the same space, so live with it. She kept quiet after that.
