Carry a simple, elementary-school level explanation of what constitutes 'solid', 'liquid' and 'gel'. If they get uppity, show them the definition.

Screeners will not hesitate throw the book at you, including throwing you to the LEOs and make your experience a nightmare.
Again, the best thing to do is remain calm, get the screener's name and ID number off his or her nameplate and file a written complaint to the FSD and airport station manager.
TSAers do not like getting extra attention from management. Them being hawked by management will go much, much further and have a more lasting effect than any piece of paper you can produce.
Not to mention, if the screener has had trouble following the rules your complaint would be added to his or her file.
