The
KM8 beach bar on Sentosa Island is a great place to be on Sunday afternoons, it's very popular with a young-ish crowd looking for a relaxed place to wrap up the weekend. It usually starts to get busy around 3 pm, and people tend to leave by 9 or 10 pm so they'll have no trouble making it to work the next day. It might be a little tight if we really want to have dinner at 6, but if we push that back to 7, then we can easily do 2pm - 6pm at the beach.
KM8 offers low-key Ibiza house music, good drinks, including the signature "Sarong Fly", and sets itself apart through its beach attire dress code and the chance to catch some sun along with your drink.
It got a mention in the New York Times a while ago:

And on Wikitravel:

Speaking of Wikitravel, check out their
3 Days in Singapore advice. I agree with it for the most part, and if you've never been it gives you a decent overview of the island, though I would leave out some of their recommendations for Sentosa. Most of the attractions there, and Underwater World especially, are decidedly underwhelming.
