Ahh, but I do try to avoid SYD! No problems in BNE (ever) and MEL is pretty good. Generally in SYD I am arriving on the bus from the domestic terminal again have never had to wait more than 1 or deep in the queue. Maybe that is because I am so polite letting others take the seats and offer to stand on the bus - right next to the door - meaning I get off the bus first and up to the departures level before the masses
. If I am about to sit for 12+ hours, I can handle standing for a 5 minute bus ride.

I beleive so, but I am others more experienced/knowledgable will jump in if I am wrong. I generally arrive in the UK from the US so am arriving on a BA flight and have no problem with arrivals liunge access at LHR and LGW.
