I rate QF and BA as equal (and quite step down from CX). QF can be very good, but quality is very ragged. They have indeed revamped the international F wine list (sorely needed, they actually had superior wines in domestic J!) but they rotate the wines so you never know what your flight will get. The printed wine list includes Grange, but no sign of it actually being on a plane (maybe they bought some for use in 2030). My impression is that QF has realized that it has a service problem and has taken steps to rectify it. I like to fly QF, it is always an adventure and sometimes quite pleasant. And you do get the priority emigration queues when leaving Australia (never a line, unlike for other airlines).
