CX and KA are getting closer by the day.
* When I was on a combined CX-KA itinerary in Jan, it could only be issued on a paper ticket (in my case). When I was on a similar one in Mar, it was in e-ticket.
* Somehow the PNRs are different between the CA and KA flights. The KA flights did not show up in my MPC account, but I called MPC to fix it.
* In the Mar trip, I was supposed to return from Shanghai on KA899 (if my memory was correct) at 12:25pm according to my ticket. After my itinerary was fixed in my account, it became CX367 (again if I remembered correctly) at the same departure time, with the same seat assignment. I was so confused I had to call MPC, and was confirmed that it would be CX367. I think this will continue to happen over the next few years. Eventually KA will fade away.
