All in all giving someone a cite to where they can find the answer will often in the long run be more helpful both to that person and to the next person that happens to read that thread and wants to know how much it is start from Brazil. My own feeling was that this person had access to excel, opened the fare tool and then wasn't going to bothered to use the tool.

Your assumptions about me are incorrect. My security will not allow external macros and was trying to get an answer quickly. When it was not easily available I bowed out politely. I'm quite willing to do the work required to figure things out. I do agree with your general approach though - most of us don't have time to hand hold anyone, and I wasn't expecting to be hand held.
