Unfortunately with WW at the helm of BA and his love of all things LCC I would expect the difference between the two carriers to widen over the coming year(s) whereas in previous years they were largely equal on long haul.
BA was markedly superior 5 years ago, then QF improved with some specific and mostly successful initiatives, while BA has declined (a lot in some areas, a little in others). Now QF is better, and has future improvements lined up (such as the A380 premium config) while BA only has T5 at LHR and seems to be relying on that as the cure for all ills. Many of the problems at BA seem to be avoidable and are made worse by some management decisions.
