Things like J wines in F, for example. Also by design BKK-SYD has a lighter meal service than LHR-BKK (as it is a shorter leg, many pax are going through and don't touch their food); so pax originating at BKK get short-changed to some extent. QF with the new J/F service starting March 25 should have a significant edge over BA; even without the new service I think QF has been consistently superior to BA this year (at least in F).
Unfortunately with WW at the helm of BA and his love of all things LCC I would expect the difference between the two carriers to widen over the coming year(s) whereas in previous years they were largely equal on long haul.
