On the other hand, if you sit at the other end (first to get a card), you'll be holding everyone up with your slow decision making, and you might get lynched. You should find a seat precisely in the middle.

Seriously, wherever you stay, the most important thing to do is get a slot club card and use it. Slot clubs are the frequent flyer programs of gambling. The more you gamble, the more points you accrue, and the more free stuff you get. And at some casinos, the slot club members can accrue points at table games as well as slot machines.
