All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

There are all kinds of things Presidents, VPs, and other government officials are allowed to do that you and I are not allowed to do. Ours is a government of men, not laws, after all.

That being said, this particular situation isn't a big deal, and Al Gore should not have been screened by the TSA any more than any other non-threatening person should be... which is to say, not at all.
