Actually, it's a lot easier to add the
Print ("Please note that if your expiration date is after 12/31/07, your new expiration date will be 18 months after your last activity. Activity includes flying, redeeming miles, using your Mileage Plus Visa and more.")
line of code one place than it does to re-write the entire expiration calculation algorithm.
Not very valuable from a customer experience standpoint, but it was probably a handful of propeller-heads making the decision.
