My company laptop is not configured for a VPN connection over wireless, and the configuration is locked down. This becomes a problem in hotels that only have wireless in the rooms. In one hotel I visited recently, they solved the problem with a small bridge that plugged in to the RJ-45 port and used the USB port for power only. Very small and portable, and it worked great.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of this device. Any recommendations for something similar? I really liked the USB power thing as it kept me from being tied to a bridge plugged in to the wall. I'd love to have one of these in my bag of tricks for future use!
