Good tips guys. I have another one that has saved me more than once when flights have been canceled or delayed within the U.S.

1. Unfortunately you need a pager with a major paging company domestically in the U.S. Participating companies are:
* MetroCall
* MobileComm
* PageMart
* PageMart II
* SkyTel
* SkyTel 2-Way
* PageNet

2. Go to the Travelocity website (www.travelocity.com) and specifically the page
http://www2.travelocity.com/fpage/index.html

3. Follow the instructions.

You can receive pages 1, 2 or 3 hours before departure/arrival of a flight either confirminng or on an exception basis, a flight time & gate (i.e. flight no., time & gate confirmation or delay/cancelation either on an exception basis - if the flight has a problem - or confirm anyway).

This service is free, you can have up to three notifications at one time, but you are limited to flights within 72 hours from creating the notification.

I had a flight canceled by AA (due to leave at 6:30 a.m. from SJC and was paged at 5:30 a.m.). Saved me an unnecessary trip to the airport, called AA and rescheduled for 10:00 a.m., got a few more hours sleep.

Enjoy,
