Exactly. Many Platinums I know spend much more than 20,000 dollars a year. If they all caught on, eventually, it would be quite crowded up here. I look at it as a bit of a fallback...if I ever quit flying for work, I might just pay the money and have the benefits as I probably would spend it anyway for personal travel.
