This year I expect to requalify in late July or early August, which is fast for me. At the other end of the spectrum I qualified for 2006 at about 10 pm on Dec. 31, 2005, with exactly 100,030 miles. Has anyone else cut it closer in both respects, not counting leeway? (I didn't qualify for 2007 at all, more's the pity. Once I realized I wasn't going to make it, I burned miles on award tickets and didn't even reach 50K - no point in "earning" PLT if one has it anyhow, both from lifetime miles and EXP soft landing.)
