1. SYD-HNL is not possible as the UA flight is a codeshare on Air Canada. You could do SYD-SFO-HNL for a surcharge that allows backtracking in North America once.
2. Two transits in IAD are not possible as the second one will be backtracking. If you want to go to YYZ, you can go ORD-YYZ-ORD as there is an exception for this routing and two transits in ORD enroute to YYZ are ok.
In North America, you can book in First where no Business class is available.
