I agree with you. But not everyone is so agreeable. Two years ago I flew domestic First on an A320 using A-class fare. The FA asked me for my meal choice first. This upset a pax behind me who huffed so loudly I couldn’t hear the choice! The FA then went to him for his meal choice and he complained that as MM 1K, he should have been asked before anyone else. Without hesitation the FA said according to the note on the manifest: I was the only pax on an F-class fare, and he like the rest of the cabin had upgraded.

It's a catch 22, no win-win situation, someone will get upset.

BTW I am seeing a lot more UGS flying around, than I ever have before. Virtually every seat neigbor! All of the one's I've spoken too, got it as part of a company contract.
