On a 744 or a combi I actually prefer the 2nd cabin on the first floor of WBC....it is less crowded and I can get more sleep.

Upstairs is nice, but the bins are smaller and seems a bit more cramped.

I've never flown on a 742 though, I've heard the upstairs seats are better.
