A bigger bonus was using my CO Chase card at merchants where you get 2 pt/$ for using the card, as well as points for shopping thru the portal.
I do this all the time.
Interesting.
However, i will have to test it out as in the case I'm talking about, drugstore.com gives 5 miles/$spent (using the portal) and 6 points/$spent (for using the citibank premier card)... if I were them, wouldn't this be something I can track?
Also, here is one that I've been contemplating:
1. Hyatt gives me a referal cash back for a link on my site. Use this to get to the Hyatt site. make a reservation through this
2. I buy a gift certificate for Hyatt from giftcertificates.com with my citibank credit card (4 points/$ spent)
3. I use certificate at Hyatt and get points as a paid stay
or how about this.
1. referral link to American Airlines (do they have cash back with anyone?)
2. Use AA gift certificates from giftcertificates.com (4pts/$ citibank)
3. Buy most of ticket with gift certificate and balance with citibank thankyou card
4. Get Business ExtrAA points for ticket purchase
5. Get airline miles for flying
6. Get thankyou flight points
that math on the value of this is quite astounding, so much so that I don't want to put it up publicly
